These terms apply to robot repairs booked through our website using the Robot Repair Booking.
1. Who this applies to
These terms apply to out-of-warranty repairs booked through our website. If you bought your robot from us and it's under warranty, contact us instead; warranty claims follow our Returns and Refund Policy.
2. Booking fee
- The booking fee is $99. It covers a prepaid postage label to our workshop, a technician inspection and diagnosis, and a written quote.
- The fee is non-refundable once your postage label has been issued.
- If you approve the repair, the full $99 is credited towards labour.
- Discount codes, promo codes, vouchers and gift cards can't be used on the booking fee. If one is applied at checkout, we'll ask you to pay the difference before we issue your postage label.
3. Pricing
- Labour is $149 per repair. With your $99 credit, you pay $50 labour.
- Parts are quoted after inspection.
- Return postage is added to your repair invoice.
- We only repair after you approve the quote and pay the invoice.
4. Sending your robot
- We email your prepaid label, usually within 1 business day. Our label does not include transit insurance.
- You must empty all water tanks, the dustbin and dust bag, wrap each item separately, and pack it in a sturdy box with padding on every side.
- Before dropping off the parcel, you must email us photos of the robot, the open packed box and the sealed box with the label.
- We are not responsible for damage in transit, including damage from water left in tanks or inadequate packing. If a parcel arrives damaged, we'll send you photos and help you with a claim against the carrier.
- When your robot arrives, we photograph the box and its contents before inspection.
5. Quotes
- Quotes are valid for 14 days.
- If inspection finds no fault, we'll tell you, and you can pay return postage to have the robot sent back.
- Repair times depend on parts availability. We'll give you an estimated completion time with your quote.
6. Declined quotes and uncollected robots
- If you decline the quote, you can pay return postage to get your robot back, or ask us to dispose of it responsibly at no charge.
- If you don't respond to a quote within 14 days, we'll send a reminder by email and SMS.
- If you still don't respond, we'll send a final written notice. If the robot isn't collected or paid for after that notice period, we may dispose of it in line with Victorian law on uncollected goods.
7. Repair warranty
- Replaced parts: 6 months from the date we ship your robot back.
- Labour: 3 months from the date we ship your robot back.
- The repair warranty covers the parts we replaced and the work we did. It doesn't cover other faults, wear and tear, or damage from misuse, liquid, drops or third-party repairs.
- To claim, contact us first. If the claim is valid, we cover return freight.
- The repair warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including that our services are provided with due care and skill.
8. Your data
Robots can store home maps, Wi-Fi details and camera images. We access the robot and its app only to diagnose, repair and test it. Where practical, remove the robot from your app account before sending it. See our Privacy Policy.
9. Batteries
Robots contain lithium-ion batteries. Leave the battery installed and the robot switched off. Don't send loose or damaged batteries; contact us first.
